Who do you think you are?
Who are you Truly?
Are you what you want others to think you are?
Are you trying to live someone else's life?
The need for acceptance can make your true self invisible. Don't be embarrassed about who you truly are and what you're called to do. Take a risk! Risk being seen in all your Glory - as Jim Carrey says.
Develop compassion for yourself despite your human defects. You will never be perfect.
I have struggled with this for years because it's hard to figure out "who you are." The media tells you who you should and shouldn't be, society molds you into it's own version of you, kids bully us early on to change us and fear ends up controlling our destiny and true self.
You were created with a unique set of talents to be used to help others. If you force yourself into someone else's path you'll feel empty and unfulfilled at the end of your life.
Do what most people never do and take 5-10 minutes and just think about who you are and what you're doing with your time. What are your passions? What do you want to get out of life? What are you good at? Use that as your ability to change the world. Use that to reveal who you truly are.
Are you good at talking to people? Are you empathetic? Are you a good writer? A good listener? A good designer? A good idea generator? Use your talent that you've been given to help others and that will bring you happiness.
Being who you truly are and using that to help others = Happiness.
There is a need in the world for each individual person. We are all special in our own way, we just don't see our self as such unless we're Lebron James , Jessica Alba or some other well known superstar.
So take a look at who you are and examine yourself. Are you who you truly are? Or are you faking it to get the approval of others. The great thing about humans is we have the ability to choose and the power to change anytime.
Now...go find out who you are.
